DAR dedicates Patriot marker

GiGi Parker, a regent for the Tucumcari chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution dressed in 18th-century garb, speaks Thursday after the DAR officers from all over the state helped unveil a Revolutionary War Patriots marker at the Tucumcari Convention Center. The marker is the first of four in New Mexico to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026.
