Two men reported missing in area

Two men were reported missing in the region last week.

New Mexico State Police issued a Silver Alert for Carmel Cresenciano Jasper, 76, who last was seen May 30 at the Circle K convenience store on South First Street near Interstate 40 in Tucumcari.

Jasper, listed at 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds, last was seen wearing a red jacket, blue jeans and a green shirt with "Team Jasper" on it.

Authorities issue a Silver Alert for an endangered person who has been confirmed as missing, who is 50 years and older and has "an irreversible deterioration of intellectual faculties," states the New Mexico Department of Public Safety.

Those who know of Jasper's whereabouts should call the Quay County Sheriff's Office at (575) 461-2720 or dial 911.

The Department of Public Safety also issued a missing-person bulletin for Darrel Ray Johnson.

Johnson, 67, was last seen on June 29 at Conchas Lake State Park.

Relatives have been searching for Johnson at the lake and along Highway 104 northwest of Tucumcari.

Johnson last was wearing blue denim shorts, brown shoes and a red shirt. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds.
