Logan track standout Haden Judd and his younger sister Makinlee Judd played substantial roles in helping their respective teams win district titles on Saturday.
Haden Judd, a junior, won three individual events - the 100-meter dash (11.72 seconds), 200-meter dash (0:23.73) and 400-meter dash (0:51.27) as the Longhorns breezed to a team district championship with 187 1/2 points. Melrose was a distant runner-up with 100 1/2 points at the six-team meet.
Meanwhile, freshman Makinlee Judd won two individual events - the 100-meter hurdles (0:17.07) and 300-meter hurdles (0:52.0) - and finished second in the pole vault (8 feet, 6 inches).
Logan's Kaylee Williams also won the 100-meter dash (0:13.86) and triple jump (33-11 3/4), helping the Lady Longhorns earn 131 1/2 points to edge runner-up Melrose and its 122 1/2 points.

San Jon's Isidro Martinez proved to be another standout at the meet. He won the pole vault competition (9-6), plus finished fourth in the 200-meter dash (0:25.66) and fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (0:48.33).
San Jon's boys 3,200-meter relay finished fourth in 11:18.29.

For San Jon, Reyna Sena was third in the 3,200-meter run (14:58.07), Alexa Becerra was third in the pole vault (7-0), Makiyah Reece was third in the 300-meter hurdles (1:02.97), and Summer Jennings finished fourth in the 1,600-meter run (7:01.28).
San Jon's girls 3,200-meter relay team also finished fourth in 13:11.48.
The state meet will be at Friday and Saturday at the UNM Track-Soccer Complex in Albuquerque.
