Logan senior guard Brock Burns earned all-state honors in Class 1A boys basketball as well as all district honors that were announced last week after his team advanced to the state semifinals.
Sophomore strong forward Hayden Bruhn earned second-team all-state honors as well as being all-district.
Sophomore center Mason Wallin earned honorable mention in the all-state listings in addition to being an all-district center.
Stats from the Longhorns this past season:
— Burns averaged 12.9 points, 4.7 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.
— Bruhn averaged 16.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 blocked shots per game.
— Wallin averaged a team-high 16.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
The all-state picks by the New Mexico High School Coaches Association included players from state-champion Fort Sumner, Des Moines, Magdalena and Legacy Academy.
Burns also will play on the Green Squad in the association’s 1A/2A Boys All-Star Game at 6:15 p.m. March 22 at Volcano Vista High School.
Logan finished with a 25-6 record and advanced to the Class 1A semifinals, losing to top-seeded Magdalena.
At Tucumcari, sophomore center Kamren Apodaca and sophomore guards Luis Archuleta and Daymion Urioste each earned first-team honors in District 4-3A.
Honorable mentions for the Rattlers were junior forward Julian Griego and sophomore forward Jordan Rincones.
Stats for the Rattlers:
— Archuleta averaged a team-high 19.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
— Apodaca averaged 11.0 points, a team-high 9.0 rebounds and 2.7 blocked shots per game.
— Urioste averaged 10.1 points, 3.1. rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
— Griego averaged 4.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
— Rincones averaged 6.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
Tucumcari finished with a 9-15 record.
