Lady Longhorns nab two road victories

The Logan girls basketball team notched two road victories in Albuquerque last week, including a 54-14 win Friday at Legacy Academy.

Desta Rose led the Lady Longhorns with 18 points, and Hailee Robertson added eight.

The Lady Longhorns (4-1) raced to 10-2 lead in the first quarter and added an 11-0 run in the second quarter.

They led 28-6 at halftime and 45-13 after three periods.

The Silverbacks fell to 1-3.

Logan 59, Evangel-Oak Grove 11

The Lady Longhorns overwhelmed Evangel Christian-Oak Grove 59-11 on Thursday in Albuquerque.

Logan raced to a 36-0 lead by intermission. The Eagle squad didn’t score its first points until about 1:30 into the third period.

Rose led the Lady Longhorns with 21 points. Abby Paris added eight points.

Evangel-Oak Grove fell to 0-2.

Dora 65, San Jon 13

Dora took a 41-11 lead by halftime en route to a 65-13 victory at San Jon on Dec. 5.

Alexa Bacerra led the Lady Coyotes (1-1) with six points, and Sarah Archuleta added five points and seven rebounds.

Dora improved to 2-2.
