• Friday — Helping Hands Hospice annual enchilada dinner. Dinners include enchiladas, beans, rice, chips and salsa for $12. The annual quilt drawing also will take place. Dinner sill be served from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hammond Hall at 450 S. Fifth St., Tucumcari.
• Saturday — Veterans Appreciation Breakfast. All veterans are invited to this free breakfast at the Tucumcari Elks Lodge 1172 at 2118 S. Adams St. from 7 to 9 a.m. Spouses and guests will be charged $5 each.
• Saturday — Veterans Remembrance Ceremony. Tucumcari VFW Post 2528 will hold a ceremony for Veterans Day at 11 a.m. at Veterans Park on Main Street. The post will serve lunch at its headquarters at 105 E. Main St. after the ceremony.
• Sunday — Veterans Remembrance Service. This event sponsored by the Tucumcari chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will take place at the Elks Lodge 1172 at 1:30 p.m. It will include a special performance by the Quay County Community Choir.
Saturday-Sunday — 49th annual Christmas Craft Fair by CRAFT Club of Tucumcari. This free event will include door prices, a raffle for a new freezer with $100 in food and concession sales by the Tucumcari High School robotics team. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Quay County Fair Bard.
• Nov. 23 — First Baptist Church Thanksgiving Day Lunch. This sit-down meal at the fellowship hall at 321 E. Center St. will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call (575) 461-2724 before Nov. 21 to order to-go or delivered meals.
• Dec. 15 — Tucumcari Community Choir Christmas Cantata. The choir has a new director, Brian Wilson, and a 10-member committee to carry on after longtime director Harold Sloan retired. The free performance will be at 7 p.m. at Center Street Methodist Church, 406 E. Center St., Tucumcari.
• Dec. 16 — Wreaths Across America Day at Tucumcari Memorial Park. The Tucumcari chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is taking orders for wreaths at veterans graves at $17 each. To order, call Susan at (575) 403-6959 or go to wreathsacrossamerica.org/NM0059P. Wreaths will be placed at 10 a.m. after a ceremony.
