THS grad named Airman of Year

William Sandoval, a Tucumcari High School graduate, recently received the Airman of the Year award from the Silver Knights AMU Guardians of Flight.

Sandoval, a senior airman, is stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state as part of the 62nd Aircraft Wing.

In his five years in the Air Force, Sandoval has been deployed twice to the Persian Gulf with missions in Iraq and Syria.
