Rattler golfers compete at home course

Dylan Owen was the top golfer for Tucumcari during the Rattler Invitational last Monday at Tucumcari Municipal Golf Course.

Owen shot a 102 on the course and finished third of 12 players on the course that included golfers from Santa Fe Indian and Robertson.

Kaden Owen finished sixth, shooting a 112. Logan Lafferty shot a 118 to finish eighth, and Creed Owen was 11th with a score of 149.

In girls competition that included players from Santa Fe Indian, Robertson and Texico, Tucumcari’s July Lafferty finished fifth of 10 golfers with a 122 score.

Jade Duplantis shot a 128 and finished sixth, and MiKayla Klinger shot a 140 and finished ninth.

The Rattlers golf teams next play April 6 at the Lovington Invitational at Lovington Country Club.
