• Wednesday — Navajo Code Talker speech. Thomas H. Begay will talk about his experience in the Marines during World War II and how he later served in Korea. Begay is one of the last three surviving Navajo Code Talkers. The event, sponsored by Mesalands Community College as part of Native American Heritage Month, will be in the Tucumcari High School gymnasium from 10 a.m. to noon.

• Friday — Helping Hands Hospice enchilada dinner. This annual fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. will be at the Elks Lodge at 2118 S. Adams St. Plates are $12. The event includes a quilt raffle. For tickets or more information, call (575) 461-0099.

• Saturday-Sunday — 48th annual Christmas Craft Fair. This free, two-day event will offer door prizes and booth giveaways. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Concessions will be by Tucumcari High School’s Class of 2025. Those interested in being a vendor should call (575) 403-7643 or email [email protected].

• Dec. 3 — Glow on 66 Christmas Light Parade. The annual parade on Second Street and Route 66 will include a $500 prize for best float. Those who wish to enter should call (575) 404-6480, (575) 461-1694 or email [email protected].
