The Class 1A champion Logan High School baseball team saw six of its players earn first-team all-district honors this season, the most of any squad in District 3.
Making the first team for the 20-3 Longhorns were sophomore pitcher-shortstop Kaeden Stoner, junior catcher-pitcher Park Strong, sophomore second baseman-pitcher Brock Burns, eighth-grade first baseman Mason Wallin, eighth-grade right fielder Aydin Kotara and junior second baseman Colton Liles.
Freshman centerfielder Diego Sanchez was an honorable mention for Logan.
As a pitcher, Stoner sported a 1.74 earned run average with 107 strikeouts in 52 1/3 innings. As a batter, he hit a team-leading .561 with 46 hits and was second on the team in RBI with 30.
Strong led the Longhorns in on-base percentage (.709), home runs (2), stolen bases (35) and runs (50). As a pitcher, he was second on the team with a 3.29 ERA.
Burns hit .478 and was third on the team with 32 hits and 30 RBI. He also was a spot starter and earned two saves in the state tournament.
Wallin hit .538 with a team-leading 37 RBI and nine doubles.
Kotara batted .400 and was third on the club with 30 stolen bases and 41 runs.
Liles batted .327 with 19 stolen bases.
Sanchez hit .382 with 25 runs and 26 RBI.
Class 1A semifinalist Melrose saw five players earn first-team honors. Grady had four players on the first team and Cimarron three.
