Feerer joins Logan clinic staff

Certified family medicine nurse practitioner Joyce Feerer recently joined the care team at the Presbyterian Medical Group Family Medicine clinic in Logan.

“Joyce has an incredible amount of experience in different clinical settings and has cared for patients with a broad range of needs, from urgent to chronic and preventive care,” Vickie Gutierrez, hospital chief executive at Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari, stated in a news release.

Feerer will practice in Logan from Monday through Friday, offering a range of primary care services such as annual exams, well child visits, preventive care, immunizations, and management of acute and chronic health conditions such diabetes.

Feerer knows the community well – her husband was born and raised in Logan, and he always wanted to return home.

“I have been visiting Logan for 45 years and have always been interested in helping the underserved in this community,” she stated.

Feerer first earned her RN license in 1973, then returned for a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She worked as an RN on medical and surgical units in hospitals in Texas and Florida, served as healthcare coordinator for a school district in Texas and has worked in several rural health care clinics, including in Tucumcari. Most recently. she worked at the Pampa Regional Medical Group in Texas.
