Serving the High Plains
As a pastor, I have helped people write their requests for religious exemptions to the COVID vaccines. (And I am happy to do so for anyone who needs the assistance.)
In my experience, the most prevalent objection to the experimental mRNA shots is that they all made use of fetal cell lines, obtained through abortion, from the research stage, through development, manufacturing, and/or testing.
We wouldn’t have the shots if several babies had not been purposely killed decades ago.
That is not meant to be inflammatory, but a simple statement of fact: a fact that no defender of the vaccines disputes. The CDC admits this is what happened. This is also not political, as both Trump and Biden are passionate cheerleaders for the vaccines.
The objection, then, is fairly simple. The Bible tells us, “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)
In plain language, don’t participate in evil deeds at all, but especially not to benefit from them. In another place, the rhetorical question is posed: Why not do evil that good may come? The answer is we shouldn’t, and condemnation falls on those who suggest such things.
There are other religious objections of course. Some I consider strong, and others are embarrassing, frankly. This one, though, objecting to the concept of producing medicine through the literal blood of innocents, is quite strong, as I recently heard a pro-vaccine-mandate lawyer admit on a radio program.
“But, preacher,” one may counter, “Those abortions were decades ago!”
The answer to that is threefold. First, how much time must pass before murder becomes a morally neutral act? How much more after that before it becomes something we can all profit from in good conscience? Does time make sin go away, Christian? If so, then God sent his son to die needlessly: He could’ve just waited a while, until our evil deeds disappeared in the mist of time.
Second, this harvesting of biologic material from aborted babies is not some isolated instance in the past, but is prevalent and ongoing. I invite you to search online for a company called ABR and its connection to “humanized mice,” used by many research laboratories even now. Visit fetalindustry.com for a repository of links and screenshots of original source documents. Or email me if you like, and I’ll show you FOIA documents from the FDA concerning their orders of “fresh, never frozen” fetal organs within the past few years.
Third, the Bible tells me Christ died for me, to grant me eternal life. Out of all the profound implications of that truth, one of them surely is this: Since he died for my life, no one else should be forced to. I absolutely don’t want that to be done, and will not act like it’s a blessing when it is.
Please love thy neighbor, fellow believer. Begin with your neighbors who are the weakest, most powerless, and most defenseless. Start with those who are being literally harvested because the experts say we may extend our lives by such means.
