The Logan boys and girls teams each won the 10-team Longhorn Relays on Thursday.
The Longhorn boys earned 117 points during the meet, far outpacing runner-up Clovis Christian’s 79 points. Tucumcari finished seventh with 25 points.
The Logan girls scored 104 points, edging runner-up Melrose’s 85 points. Tucumcari finished seventh with 23 points.
Other schools that participated in the event were Cimarron, Des Moines, Elida, Mosquero, Roy and Springer.
The Logan boys piled up team points by winning all of its relay races.
Individually for the Longhorns, Haden Judd won three events — the 100 (0:11.84) and 200-meter dashes (0:24.54) and the 300-meter intermediate hurdles (0:45.24). Dante Sanchez also won the 400-meter dash in 0:54.54.
The Lady Longhorns scored wins in the 400, 800, 1600 medley and 1600-meter relay races.
Individually for Logan, Kaylee Williams won the long jump (16 feet, 8 inches) and 100-meter dash (0:13.34). Hailee Robertson won the pole vault with an effort of 5-6.
For Tucumcari, Khobie Salvador continued show improvement in the field events, winning both the shot put and discus throw. His winning distance was 127-6 1/2 in the discus and 44-0 1/2 in the shot.
For the Lady Rattlers, Delilah Acosta won the girls discus (79-4 1/2).
