The Logan baseball team continued its early-season dominance with a lopsided doubleheader sweep Friday at Clayton, including another no-hitter.
The Longhorns (5-0) blanked the Yellow Jackets 15-0 in the first game and drubbed them 28-0 in the second.
In the opener, Logan starting pitcher Gabe Milakovich struck out seven and walked only one in five inning during his no-hitter.
The Longhorns, leading 7-0, won the game by the 10-run rule with an eight-run fifth inning. Logan had just seven hits but also clogged the basepaths by drawing eight walks.
Dante Sanchez hit two doubles and drove in three runs for Logan.
In the second game, Logan took control with a 16-run third inning.
Kaeden Stoner went 4-for-6 hitting and drove in six runs. Logan rapped 19 hits during the game.
Sanchez and Park Strong combined on the mound to allow just two hits, two walks and struck out nine in five innings.
Logan 15, Elida 0
The Longhorns scored six runs in the first inning and five in the second to take control while Stoner threw a no-hitter during a 15-0 road victory May 17 at Elida.
Stoner, a freshman, struck out nine and walked three in three innings in a game shortened by the mercy rule.
Brock Burns, Wyatt Wright and Garrett Bollinger each had two RBI for Logan.
Elida fell to 1-1.
