1971: “Breath of Life,” a 10-minute film dealing with the art of life-saving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, was screened during the Noon Lions Club meeting at the Ramada Inn in Tucumcari. The showing was sponsored by the American Heart Association.
• Photographs of 23 graduating Logan High School seniors were displayed in the pages of the newspaper.
• The Odeon Theatre was screening the Oscar-winning “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” starring Katharine Ross, Robert Redford and Paul Newman. The film was advertised: “Not that it matters, but most of it is true.”
