Two more confirmed cases of coronavirus were reported Tuesday in Quay County.
One case was in the Tucumcari ZIP code, and the other was in the House ZIP code. The age breakdown was one age 70 to 79 and one age 80 to 89.
A total of 104 cases have been reported in the county in November alone.
The total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began rose to 211, with three deaths. A total of 77 people have been deemed as recovered from the virus.
The breakdown by ZIP code since the pandemic began is 149 in Tucumcari, 45 in Logan, five in San Jon, five in House, four in McAlister, one in Nara Visa, one in Bard and one in Grady (part of which extends into the county).
According to the state’s COVID-19 rapid-response database, referrals were recorded Monday in Tucumcari regarding one confirmed case each with an employee at L&S Quality Plumbing and at the Quay County District Court Clerk’s Office. Entities must undergo safety protocols after such reports.
In the state, the DOH on Tuesday reported 2,107 cases. The total number since the pandemic began surpassed 86,000.
A total of 541 cases were reported in Bernalillo County, with another 202 in Dona Ana County.
A total of 28 deaths were reported Tuesday, raising the overall total to 1,428.
A record total of 871 people were hospitalized with the disease on Tuesday.
In the Amarillo metro area, a record of more than 7,000 active cases of COVID-19 were reported, with a 40% hospitalization rate.
In the U.S., more than 12.5 million confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported through Tuesday since the pandemic began, with more than 259,000 deaths.
