• Thursday — First Baptist Church Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Dinner. The annual dinner will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. drive-through style in the alley at the church at 321 E. Center St. The church also will deliver meals to shut-ins.
• Monday — Virtual Christmas Cash Mob at Blue Swallow Motel. Tucumcari MainStreet is partnering with the Tucumcari/Quay County Chamber of Commerce and local businesses as part of Very Merry Tucumcari festivities to bring fun and boost local shopping. Participants bid on items, arrange payment and socialize during the Facebook Live session. Hosts entertain and educate as they sell items and encourage viewers to shop locally. Other Cash Mob events will be at Bob’s Upholstery on Dec. 1, Desert Rose Center on Dec. 2, Paws and Claws Animal Rescue of Quay County on Dec. 4, Tucumcari Historical Museum on Dec. 8, Motel Safari on Dec. 9, Vaquero Asador on Dec. 10, Blanco Creek Boutique on Dec. 11, Watson’s BBQ and Tucumcari Ranch Supply on Dec. 12, TeePee Curios on Dec. 14 and ArteFormz on Dec. 16.
• Dec. 12 — Christmas Community Light Display. Because of the current health order, the Tucumcari/Quay County Chamber of Commerce is modifying its regular parade into a drive-through display from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tucumcari Convention Center parking lot. Anyone interested in participating should contact the Chamber at (575) 461-1694.
• April 16-18 — Spay and neuter clinic. A clinic to spay and neuter pets will be sponsored by Quay County Paws and Claws Animal Rescue. More details will come later.
