The eighth confirmed case of coronavirus was reported Tuesday in Quay County, the second in two days.
The New Mexico Department of Health reported the latest case is a male age 50 to 59 in the Logan ZIP code. No other information was available.
Of the eight cases of COVID-19 reported in the county, three have recovered, with one death. Monday's case was a male age 20 to 29.
More than 620 people in Quay County have been tested for the virus.
A total of 221 people in New Mexico were reported with COVID-19 on Tuesday, the sixth consecutive day the state had surpassed the 200 mark.
A total of more than 13,700 cases in New Mexico have been reported since the pandemic began.
Four deaths were reported in the state Tuesday, bringing the total to 519.
A total of 133 people currently are hospitalized with COVID-19. Slightly under 6,000 have been deemed as recovered from the disease.
Through Tuesday afternoon, more than 2.9 million people in the United States have been confirmed with the virus, with more than 131,000 deaths.
