• March 7 — Enchilada Dinner. Center Street United Methodist Church will hold its annual enchilada dinner with all the fixings from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adults will be charged $10 and children $5. For takeout orders, call (575) 461-2661. 406 E. Center St., Tucumcari.

• March 8-14 —22nd Iron Pour. Mesalands Community College will host its 22nd annual Iron Pour workshop. Meet sculpture artists and make your own creation from molten metal. • March 13 — Bull Production Workshop. This program, which includes a dinner sponsored by the New Mexico Cattlegrowers Foundation, will have presentations about the Raising Ranchers program, using expected progeny differences, breeding resources, fertility testing and a bull test update from New Mexico State University. • March 14-15 — St. Paddy’s Day 5K/10K. These footraces will be hosted by Ute Lake State Park. For more information, call (575) 487-2284. Loop 540, Ute Lake State Park, Logan.

• March 17 — Watoto Children’s Choir. Hosted by First Assembly of God Church, these touring children from Uganda — many who are orphans, former child soldiers and rescued — will provide a free worship experience at the Tucumcari High School auditorium from 6:30 to 8 p.m. An offering will be received as well as sponsorships; T-shirts and handmade goods will be available for purchase to support the choir. 1100 S. • March 21 — History Field Trip. The Tucumcari Historical Museum is organizing a field trip to the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum in Amarillo and the Julian L. Bivins Museum at Boys Ranch in Texas. Lunch will be at Jason’s Deli in Amarillo. The bus will depart and return to the Tucumcari museum. The fee is $5 for museum members and $10 for non-members. Lunch will not be provided with the fee, and there will be an additional charge of $3 to $7 for the horse museum. RSVP at the Tucumcari Historical Museum by 3 p.m. March 20. 416 S. • March 28 — March Madness Conchas Lake Golf Tournament. This four-man scramble at the Conchas Dam course costs $30, with $10 for two mulligans. Tee time is 10 a.m.

• April 4 — Spring Hop Along. Join Tucumcari MainStreet, Quay County Extension Service and the Quay County Health Council as we follow the clues to find the Easter Bunny! Contact the Quay County Health Council for more information. The fun begins at 10 a.m. at the Tucumcari MainStreet office. 100 Railroad Ave., Tucumcari.

• April 24-25 — Father’s Forge Daughters of the King Ladies Conference. The session begins at 7 p.m. Friday, April 24, and resumes from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25. The free conference will offer refreshments. For more information, call (575) 461-4200. 622 S. Lake St., Tucumcari.

April 24-26 — 20th annual Chuck Wagon Cook Off. Chuck wagons will cook a meal in Dutch Ovens over hot wood coals. Meal consists of chicken fried steak, potatoes, beans, bread and fresh apple cobbler. Meal tickets are $15. Ute Lake State Park, Logan.

• May 1-2 — Tucumcari Rawhide Days. See a Texas Longhorn cattle drive and parade on Old Route 66, followed by gunfighters, vendors, petting zoo, trick roping, chuckwagons and more. Don’t miss out on the ranch rodeo, jamboree, cowboy poets and a country music concert to wrap it all up. More information coming soon at tucumcarirawhidedays.com.

• June 5-6 — New Mexico Music Showcase. More information, including music lineups, for this annual event will be announced later at facebook.com/newmexicomusicshowcase. Tucumcari Convention Center.

• June 25-28 — Rockin’ Route 66. This festival in Tucumcari will be packed with live entertainment, a classic car and hot rod show, a vintage and hand-built motorcycle show, a pin-up contest and fashion show, a cruise down Route 66, a Taste of New Mexico, carnie sideshow performances, Kustom Kulture artists and builders, celebrity guests, a Black Collar Markette and more. • Sept. 26 — Wheels on Fire 100. Cyclists can enjoy a 25-, 50- or 100-mile ride on Route 666 and through the plains and mesas of Quay County. Prospective participants can sign up at http://www.bikereg.com/wheels-on-fire-100. Start and finish line at Tucumcari Convention Center.

• Sept. 26 — Fired Up. More information about the annual festival in downtown Tucumcari will be coming soon. Historic Railroad Depot Plaza, Second and Main streets, Tucumcari.
