Logan girls triumph in opener

The Logan girls basketball team triumphed in its season opener Nov. 26 with a 44-33 home win over Clayton.

Jordan Hines led the Lady Longhorns with 15 points, and Karli Webb added 13.

Logan coach Glynna Strand said her team looked “pretty raw” after just five days of practice and noted many of her best players also were members of Logan’s state-champion volleyball team.

“I think it says a lot that they pulled off a win against a (Class) 2A school with little practice,” she said.
