Erin Encinias again was Tucumcari’s top cross-country runner during a meet Saturday at Roswell.
Encinias finished 22nd overall on the 3.1-mile course with a time of 21 minutes, 40 seconds.
Ashley Shipley finished 52nd in 25:45. Encinias and Shipley were the only varsity girls from Tucumcari at the meet.
For the Rattlers varsity boys team, Manny Hernandez was the top finisher, crossing the line in 19:08 for 37th place.
Alex Lujan was 60th in 22:45 for Tucumcari.
For the boys junior varsity, Andrew Henderson-Clark finished 72nd in 27:58 and Jordan Marquez was 84th in 37:09.
Tucumcari did not compete at a previously scheduled meet last week at Moriarty.
The Tucumcari teams’ next meet is at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Ron Valdez Invitational at Pecos.
