The Logan girls basketball team remained in the district-title hunt with a 55-35 victory Saturday over Clovis Christian.
Makenna Brewer led the Lady Longhorns with 16 points, while teammate Harlie Roach added 15.
Logan improved to 19-4 overall and 5-1 in Class 1A, District 6, and stayed in a first-place tie with Melrose. Logan and Melrose both have district games remaining against Fort Sumner and Grady.
Clovis Christian fell to 4-12, 0-6.
Grady 61, Hondo Valley 52
The Lady Broncos jumped out to a 19-6 first-quarter lead en route to a 61-52 victory Saturday over Hondo Valley.
Teryn Foote led Grady with 13 points, while Divinity Archuleta added 10.
The Lady Bronchos improved to 4-17 overall.
Hondo Valley dropped to 13-10 overall.
Fort Sumner 53, Grady 29
The visiting Vixens held leads of 17-7 in the first quarter and 25-10 at halftime during a 53-29 district victory Thursday over Grady.
Timia Northcutt led the Lady Bronchos with nine points, who fell to 1-4 in Class 1A, District 6.
Fort Sumner improved to 12-10 overall and 4-2 in the district.
