Crime Stoppers and the Tucumcari Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance with information leading to the identification and arrests of the subject or subjects involved in a burglary in the 1200 block of Second Street in which firearms and jewelry were taken.
In early December, the suspect or suspects entered a home and stole a 20-inch necklace of turquoise stones, a 14-karat gold charm bracelet with charms of baby photos, gold horseshoes and a spinning “I Love You “ charm, two silver vintage diaper pins with engraved names, a 14-karat woven chain double-strand 18-inch necklace, a wedding band with an oval-shaped diamond, a ring with light blue sapphire surrounded by small pearls, a freshwater pearl ring with a gold band, a white turquoise ring, an amethyst oval stone with gold band ring, a æ-karat round-cut diamond on a thin gold pendant, a silver squash blossom necklace with three turquoise stones, two sets of valuable spurs, including one that features a unique brand, and a handmade hunting knife.
Also taken were 10 firearms, including a .22-caliber pistol, a .22 pump Winchester, a 30-30 Model 94 Winchester, a 30-06 Model 70 Winchester, a .243 Model 70 Winchester, a 30-06 vintage Springfield style military gun on a sports stock, a 16-gauge shotgun, a 20-gauge Remington 670, a .22 Remington and a .308 Ruger compact.
