Serving the High Plains
Quay County youth ranging from 6 to 18 years old spent two weeks competing in their 4-H county contests.
Cloverbuds are under the age of 9, novice 9 to 11, juniors 12 and 13 and seniors are 14 and older. The majority of the contests were held on May 20 with an awards program to finish the day.
Novices and juniors will go on to district contests in Roswell in June, and seniors will go on to state in Las Cruces in July.
