Two students, faculty member to visit Denmark

Mesalands students Bryan Cassidy and Sanda Garrett leave this week to study abroad in Denmark to learn more about global perspectives in sustainable development.

Two Mesalands Community College students and one faculty member will be traveling to Copenhagen, Denmark, to learn more about global perspectives in sustainable development.

The trip is part of a Community Colleges for International Development, Inc, "Troika Study Abroad Programs." The primary objective of this program is to provide community college students with greater access to study abroad.

Jef Cotham, business administration faculty; Sanda Garrett, business administration student; and Bryan Cassidy, a recent graduate with an associate of applied science degree in wind energy technology, will be participating in this trip.

"This is my first time to go to Denmark," Garrett said. "It will be fun, and there will be a lot to learn an educational experience."

During the trip the students will meet with Danish students and faculty from other community colleges and have an opportunity to interact with other locals.

The trip begins Thursday and ends June 2.
