Commissioners in attendance: Jimmy Sandoval, Ernest Dominguez Jr., Dora Salinas McTigue, Robert Lumpkin, Mayor Amiel Curnutt and City Manager Doug Powers.
- Proclamation of Youth Week from May 5-11.
- First reading of Amendments to Chapter 6.04 of the Tucumcari Municipal Code pertaining to animal control.
- Approved grant agreement with the New Mexico Department of Transportation Aviation Division for $300,000. A 95 percent grant ($285,000) five percent city match ($15,000) for crack seal and seal coat on Tucumcari Municipal Airport runway 321.
- Approved grant agreement with the New Mexico State Highway Transportation Department's Traffic Safety Bureau for $1,043. A 100 percent grant to pay for Tucumcari Police Department's overtime on saturation patrols.
