The Ticket Calendar is a listing of upcoming events and places of general interest in the area and across the region:

Eastern New Mexico Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Association Festival. May 9 - 12 at the Quay County Fair Barn, take Camino del Coronado exit to turn off. Starts Thursday at 5 p.m. with a potluck dinner and music with music throughout the weekend. Tickets are $15 per day or $25 for the whole weekend. For information call 575-41-8499.

Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, 500 Terrace Avenue, Chama. Book a ride on the narrow-gauge railroad, whose vintage coal-powered locomotives chug through a stunning San Juan Mountains landscape for 64 miles. Along the way you'll cross the dizzying 10,000 foot high Cumbres Pass. For information call 575-756-2151.

Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum, 9201 Balloon Museum Drive, NE, Albuquerque. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults, New Mexico residents with ID, $3, 65 and older, $2, ages 4 - 12, $1, under three is free. For information call 505-768-6020.

Bandalier National Monument, 15 Entrance Road, Los Alamos. You can view petroglyphs and dwellings carved into the cliffs. Open seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Vehicle permits for seven days are $12. For information call 505-672-3861.

Chaco Culture National Historical Park, off US 550, 50 miles south of Farmington in Nageezi. View Anasazi ruins, each site takes 45 minutes to one hour to see. Open 7 a.m. until sunset seven days a week. Vehicle fees are $8 for seven days, traveling on foot, $4 for seven days and camping, $10 per day. For information call 505-786-7014 extension 221.

Amarillo Botanical Gardens, 1400 Streit Drive, Amarillo, Texas. Four acres of gardens and exotic plants to see. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, 12 years of age and under, free. For information call 806-352-6513.

Panhandle Plains Historical Museum, 2503 Fourth Avenue, Canyon, Texas, on the campus of West Texas A&M University. 26,000 square feet of dinosaurs, conquistadors, pioneer town and Southwest's fine arts. Open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. For information call 806-651-2244.

Casel Land Fun Center, 700 Fairlane Drive, Clovis. Go-carts, miniature golf, batting cages, bumper boats and paintball. Open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday open from noon until 9 p.m. Costs are go-carts $6, Golf ages 13 and up are $6, ages 4 - 12, $5, under 3 is free, 55 and older $3, bumper boats, $5.
