On Monday county commissioners met in special session and approved a roofing contract for the court house.
County Manager Richard Primrose said the commission approved the contract of $203,300 to WWRC Inc. of Clovis. He said the company has 10 days to start on the roof after being notified of the approval.
Primrose estimate it would take 90 days to finish the project.
Primrose said the preservation society has also approved repairs on the court house.
Primrose said that the county will be spending $6,688 to install an air conditioning unit at district attorney's office .
District attorney spokesman Lorenzo Emilio said that they asked the county for help in getting paint, carpet and to repair walls in the office. Emilio said the third floor at one time was the county jail and things needed upgrading.
