Hospital holds ribbon cutting for senior program

The Tucumcari Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at Dr. Dan C. Trigg Hospital Thursday celebrating the new program Senior Solutions.

More than 40 people attended the open house for the Senior Solutions Thursday at Dr. Dan C. Trigg Hospital in Tucumcari.

An estimated 40 people attended the kickoff.

Therapist Rhonda Gutierrez said the new program is a good way for seniors to be able to talk to someone about problems or just to be able to visit with other seniors who may not have anyone else at home.

Therapist Patricia Stull said there are eight people in the program now and hopes that word gets out to the rest of the community.

She said this was much needed for the seniors and that it is a great program.
