Cash mob highlights local stores

The Tucumcari Chamber of Commerce held their first Cash Mob event Friday.

Tucumcari's first cash mob brought in area residents and chamber of commerce members.

Patsy Gresham said that these events are great for the community to get out to the local small businesses to see what they have to offer for the upcoming holidays. Gresham said it doesn't take a lot of money to go to one of these events and you get to see people in the community you haven't seen for a while.

Richard Randals, chamber president, said the event and the turn out of chamber members was great. He said that if people realized and understood what these events are about, they would have a lot of fun and would be promoting the area businesses and Tucumcari.
