Jordyn Diaz, Ryanne Lopez and Kayla Cherry double-check the baskets for family night at the book fair.
This year's theme is based on the Academy Awards. There will be a walk of fame on the red carpet along with Oscar trophies to the prize winners.
Yolanda Aragon, librarian, said that all students are stars at the middle school.
Students, parents and teachers will all be dressing up for the occasion with prizes going to the best dressed boy, girl, parent and teacher. Aragon said there will be door prizes given away every 15 minutes and attendants will be able to purchase tickets for drawing on baskets.
Jordyn Diaz, Ryanne Lopez and Kayla Cherry have worked for a month and a half in preparation for family night. Diaz said their last year at middle schools book fair had to be the best. Lopez said that each one of them helped their home rooms put together the baskets and donations were given by local businesses.
Cherry said they had books available from kindergarten through adult along with cook books, pens, pencils and posters.
The girls said there will be a cake walk, games such as dancing with the stars, bowling, Chinese golf and a toothbrush game.
Aragon said there will be a drawing for prizes for the crew and invites the community to come to the fair and support the middle school.
