Fired Up set for Saturday

The second annual Fired Up will run 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Saturday at the Tucumcari Train Depot.

So far this year there are about 30 venders selling foods, coffee, clothes and even a massage chair booth.

Eastern New Mexico Blue Grass will be playing music starting at 4:45 p.m. and again at 5:40 p.m. Presentation of Colors/Union Pacific presentation will be held at 5:15 p.m. followed by ODDLAB Fire performances at 6:40 p.m. and again at 7:45 p.m.

The Coyote Blue Band out of Albuquerque will be playing at 7 p.m. and again at 8:05 p.m. Blacksmithing demonstrations will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

There is also a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

There will be Fired Up T-shirts for sale for any one wanting to buy. This year there has been 45 local sponsors for this project and 516 Tucumcari elementary students did drawings to be displayed at the depot.
