Realtor receives award

Realtor Richard Randals of Tucumcari was recently presented the Peggy Comeau Leadership Award by the Realtor Association of New Mexico.

I am very humbled by this, it is a great award," said Randals.

Randals, the qualifying broker at New Mexico Property Group, was supposed to be honored on Sept. 14, at the RANM Annual Conference in Albuquerque.

However, Randals said he was ill and not able to attend the conference. He said it was the first time in 10 years he missed the conference.

Randals said he was contacted by Debbie Rogers, RANM president, and he was shocked the association called and put him on speaker phone to present him with the award.

"It was a huge surprise," Randals said. "If I had known, I would have found a way to make it to the conference."

Randals is a member of a longtime ranching family in Quay County. He has been a RANM member for more than 10 years, and has been a great RANM supporter and volunteer leader for the past five years.

Randals was elected in 2008 to serve as Individual Realtor Director on RANM's board of directors. He holds the position through Dec. 31.
