"Odd Apocalypse," by Dean Koontz. Odd Thomas, who can communicate with the dead, explores the mysteries of an old estate now owned by a billionaire.

"Where We Belong," by Emily Giffin. A woman's successful life is disrupted by the appearance of an 18 year-old girl with a link to her past.

"Undead and Unstable," by MaryJanice Davidson. A Betsy's heartbroken over her friend Marc's death, but at least his sacrifice should change the future—her future—for the better.

Non Fiction

"Double Cross: The True Story of the D-Day Spies," by Ben Macintyre. The story of D-Day has been told from the point of view of the soldiers who fought in it, the tacticians who planned it, and generals who led it.

"Red Ink: Inside the High-Stakes Politics of the Federal Budget," by David Wessel. In a sweeping narrative about the people and the politics behind the budget, Wessel looks at the 2011 fiscal year.

"The Price of Inequality," by Joseph E. Stiglitz. As Joseph explains, while those at the top enjoy the best health care, education, and benefits of wealth, they fail to realize that "their fate is bound up with how the other 99 percent live."
