Serving the High Plains
Altrusa International of Tucumcari is pleased to announce that their annual Cash Party will be held 6 p.m. Nov. 10, at the Quay County Exhibition Center.
Tickets to this event are $100. Three hundred tickets will be sold and the last number drawn will win $15,000. The runner up will also win $500, and every 25th number called will win a door prize worth at least $100. Proceeds of this event will benefit Altrusa community service projects.
"Your purchase of a ticket is more than just a chance to win $15,000. It's a chance to help improve our community," Relissa Nials, club president, said. "For more than 30 years, Altrusa has been taking the majority of the proceeds from this event and putting it back into projects that affect everyone in our community. Please join us in a fun evening with food, excitement, and dancing."
Altrusa will use the proceeds from the Cash Party to fund various projects to benefit Quay County. Last year Altrusa donated $10,000 to the Train Depot Project. Altrusa also supported the following community projects including, Helping Hands Hospice, New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranches, Ronald McDonald Houses, Hospital Auxiliary, Community Easter Egg Hunt, Earth Day, the Summer Reading Program at the Tucumcari Public Library, Ministry of Hope Food Backpack Program, Dunn Park garden, Quay County Fun Run, and awarded five college scholarships to area high school and college students.
