San Jon-On Aug. 12, New Mexico State Police responded to a call in San Jon, New Mexico reference the burglary of a Commercial Motor Vehicle. Investigation revealed that a commercial motor vehicle was parked at the Fast Stop Truck Stop in San Jon. During the overnight hours, a person or persons forced entry into the trailer of the commercial motor vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, who had been sleeping in the cab, discovered the burglary at approximately 6:00AM, as he began inspecting his truck. He noticed the padlock and security seal on the trailer were gone. As he opened the door, he noticed three pallets missing from the trailer. The pallets contained 301 HP Compaq Presario Laptop Computers valued at over $100,000.
