Airport awarded FAA grant

The Federal Aviation Administration announced on Tuesday it has awarded grants to four New Mexico airports including Tucumcari Municipal Airport, according to a release from U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman.

"Federal grants are essential in helping airports make the improvements and upgrades needed to protect air travelers. The funding awarded today will be put to good use at these four New Mexico airports," Bingaman said.

Tucumcari Municipal Airport received $307,800 from the grant which will fund the rehabilitation of the runway, which is needed to maintain structural integrity of the pavement.
