Fifteen Quay County 4-Hers traveled to Alamogordo on June 20-22 to compete in the Southeast District Contest for Novice and Junior 4-Hers.

• The Novice Air Rifle team of Jonathan Clark, Tianna Peterson, and Garrett Bollinger placed second with Garrett Bollinger the second-high point individual and Tianna Peterson the 3rd-high point individual.
• The Novice Archery Team shooting bows with sights and releases placed first. Team members are Kyle Knight, Jason Knight, Chase Hittson, and Garrett Bollinger. Kyle Knight was second-high individual and Jason Knight was fifth-high individual.
• The Junior Archery Team shooting bare bows placed first with Trestin Peterson, Tianna Peterson and Reagan Runyan as team members. Trestin Peterson was-high point individual, Tianna Peterson was fourth and Reagan Runyan was fifth-high point individual.
• Tianna Peterson placed second with her Sew Much Fun 1 tote bag in the fashion review.
• The Consumer Decision Making team of Rebecca Rush, Trestin Peterson, and Tianna Peterson placed second and Tianna Peterson was third-high individual.
• The Entomology team of Rebecca Rush, Amber Rivera, and Dyson Clark placed first with Amber Rivera placing as the-high point individual and Rebecca Rush as 5th-high individual.
• The Home Economics Bowl team of Reagan Runyan, Tianna Peterson, Trestin Peterson, and Dyson Clark placed first in the tie breaker round.
• The Home Economics Skill-a-thon team of Reagan Runyan, Trestin Peterson, Tianna Peterson and Natalie Hayes placed third.
• The Horse Bowl team of Amber Rivera, Kaleb Hayes, Rebecca Rush, and Treyson Runyan placed third.
• Amber Rivera was second-high point novice in Horse Judging.
• The novice Horticulture team of Amber Rivera, Tianna Peterson, Kaleb Hayes, and Natalie Hayes placed third and Amber Rivera was fifth-high individual.
• The junior Horticulture team of Rebecca Rush, Reagan Runyan, Trestin Peterson, and Dyson Clark was fifth-high individual.
• The novice Rifle team of Jonathon Clark, Kaleb Hayes, and Garrett Bollinger placed first with Kaleb Hayes placing first-high individual and Garrett Bollinger second-high individual. Tianna Peterson was fifth-high individual.
• In the junior Rifle competition Jordyn Stowe placed second.
• The Wildlife team of Jonathan Clark, Amber Rivera, Kaleb Hayes, and Garrett Bollinger placed fifth and Kaleb Hayes was fifth-high individual.
