County Clerk Ellen White said a change of voting centers should result in $6,000 savings for the county.
A change of location for the voting centers in Tucumcari for the 2012 primary election will save $6,000 said Quay County clerk Ellen White.
White said citizens who live in Precincts 6-12 will all vote at the Tucumcari Convention Center.
“This voter convenience center will save the county on each election,” White said, noting a reduction of election workers, printed ballots and voting machines.
Voters in precincts 1-5 and 13-14 will cast their votes at their regular polling place.
