Candidates for Quay County commissioner for Districts 1 and 2, Quay County clerk and Quay County treasurer must file their declaration for candidacy between 9 a.m and 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Quay County Clerk's Office located at 300 S. Third St.
A prospective candidate must be a registered voter in the district they intend to represent, with the party affiliation and their name as listed on their voter registration on or prior to Jan. 30, in line with a proclamation by Gov. Susana Martinez.
The filing fee for county office is $50, due at the time of filing.
Candidates will draw for ballot positions at 5 p.m., Tuesday at the County Clerk's Office.
All four positions carry four-year terms.
