Two Tucumcari High School golfers broke 100 during the 10-team Alien 8 tournament in Roswell last Tuesday. Kaden Brown shot a 95 on at the par-72 New Mexico Military Institute Golf Course, breaking 100 for the second straight event. That put him in 40th place at the tournament. Teammate Creed Owen also broke 100 by shooting a 99, putting him in 48th place. Logan Lafferty rounded out the Rattler field by shooting a 125. Logan track and field star Haden Judd continued to excel at several events Saturday at the 18-team Fox/Vixen Relays at Fort Sumner. Logan High School senior Park Strong announced during a recent signing ceremony at the school that he will play baseball at University of the Southwest in Hobbs on a partial scholarship. Logan senior Park Strong finished runner-up in his weight class at the state meet but broke a state record in the process during one of his events.
