A Tucumcari man is accused of having a role in a shooting at a Wyoming bar and remains jailed on $500,000 cash-only bond. Andreas Broach, 29, of Tucumcari, and D’Marco Jones, 24, of Detroit, were detained Sept. 22 after being accused of shooting a 51-year-old man in the leg with a 9mm handgun earlier that morning at Mingle’s Lounge in Laramie, Wyoming. Early or absentee voting for the Nov. 6 general election begins Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Quay County Clerk’s office at 301 S. Third St. in Tucumcari. Hours at the clerk’s office will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, including the lunch hour, according to a news release. The last day for early voting will be Saturday, Nov. 3. Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari received a Hospital Innovation Improvement Award last week for two years of improvement in quality and patient safety. The award was presented Sept. 26 at the 73rd annual meeting of the New Mexico Hospital Association in Albuquerque.
