A Tucumcari man was in jail Monday in connection with a shooting Friday night. William Archuletta remains in QCDC with a bond of $15,500. Police say William "Willie" Archuletta, 20, shot Bryan Cassidy, 30, of Tucumcari in the leg about 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of South Monroe. Archuletta is charged with one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of negligent use of a deadly weapon.
