Tucumcari city commissioners voted to hire Doug Powers as city manager Thursday night following an executive session. "I am proud to be working for the city," Powers said. "I have been with the city for 20 years." The commission met behind closed doors following Thursday's regular meeting to discuss hiring Powers.
