    New Mexico State Police arrested recently retired Tucumcari Police Chief Jason Braziel on Tuesday, charging him with resisting and evading arrest and tampering with evidence. Braziel was released on a $3,000 cash bond later that day. He was also charged with reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to a vehicle and failure to give immediate notice of accident.     A Tucumcari man was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday on Interstate 40 near Montoya while attempting to tow a commercial vehicle. On Sunday at 4:20 p.m., state police officers were dispatched to mile marker 318 on I-40 in reference to a fatal motor vehicle crash. According to a New Mexico State Police press release, Robert Unruh, 37, sustained fatal injuries when he stepped into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle.
