    LOGAN -- An Iowa man is accused of beating and severely injuring another man with a hammer in a Logan car wash last week. Arthur Raymond Peppers, 63, of Donahue, Iowa, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and tampering with evidence, both felonies. That continued a downward trend in February — from three cases last week and six cases two weeks ago.
