In the first game, Logan’s Marilyn Moreno went 3-for-3 with an inside-the-park grand slam and five RBI. Brookel Smith hit a two-run, inside-the-park homer and totaled four RBI.     Two Tucumcari High School golfers broke 100 during the 10-team Alien 8 tournament in Roswell last Tuesday. Kaden Brown shot a 95 on at the par-72 New Mexico Military Institute Golf Course, breaking 100 for the second straight event. That put him in 40th place at the tournament.     In another sign of the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic, the New Mexico Department of Health announced last week it was cutting back on its reports about the disease. Starting last Tuesday, the DOH said epidemiological reports covering COVID-19 would change from bi-weekly to monthly.
