    Officials of Rockabilly on the Route, a Route 66 music festival, announced on Monday that this year’s fifth annual event will be the last in Tucumcari. Officials cited in a press release that they have decided to take a break from the festival for now to pursue "other exciting ventures, events and opportunities."     The Quay County Commission set its 2017 meeting schedule Monday. The commission decided to continue its schedule of meetings on the second and fourth Monday of every month. The meetings begin at 9 a.m. Most meetings are held in the commission’s meeting room in the Quay County Courthouse, but some are held at other locations. The locations for each meeting have not been determined. On Thursday the Lady Rattlers came out on the short end of a 47-44 heartbreaker against the Tularosa Lady Wildcats.     The Quay County Commission on Nov. 28 authorized purchases of more than $877,000 in firefighting vehicles for the county’s fire districts.
