    A backdoor cold front which brought rainfall should return to the area by the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Albuquerque. "There will be a similar cold front which produced the weekend showers which will move into Quay County on Sunday," said meteorologist Todd Shoemake. He said there will be a chance for showers to develop in the northern part of the state during the week, though the precipitation will be north of Tucumcari.     Tucumcari Lady Rattlers Brook Dow captures a state AA long jump championship and the Rattlers track team finished third in the Class 2A boys state track meet in Albuqueque.     More than a dozen residents attended a historical recounting Saturday at the Tucumcari Historical Museum. Local historians shared stories of their experiences growing up in and near Quay County, Horace Woods was one of those historians.     After 12 years of serving as the Tenth Judicial District Attorney Ron Reeves, has announced he will not seek re-election as district attorney and will retire at the end of his term in December. "I feel good about my decision to retire, particularly in light of the fact that the District Attorney's office will be in good hands with Chief Deputy District Attorney Tim Rose," Reeves said.     County Clerk Ellen White said a change of voting centers should result in $6,000 savings for the county. A change of location for the voting centers in Tucumcari for the 2012 primary election will save $6,000 said Quay County clerk Ellen White.
