Tucumcari city commissioners on Thursday morning fired City Manager Bobbye Rose, according to City Clerk Christine Dougherty. Looking back — June 29

June 1966 City Manger Al Pierce revealed that he will recommend to the City Commission tonight one of the largest budgets in the history of Tucumcari. As prepared for commission’s consideration, the tentative budget through the 1966-67 fiscal year is set at $1,423,056. The present budget is only $1,292,234.
